Family Counseling

Children’s Behavioral Solutions (CBS) is a service that connects families with the most appropriate treatment for children who are struggling with certain behavioral health concerns.

The entire family is affected by your child’s suffering. Finding and receiving therapy is made as easy as possible by our Children’s Behavioral Solutions team.
We provide services to kids and teens of all genders, aged 6 to 21, whose lives have been disturbed by emotional, mental, or behavioral issues.
We will put your child in touch with top-notch, CARF- and Joint Commission-accredited programs while collaborating with other healthcare providers and organizations.

The CBS team is here to help you understand how difficult it can be to get your kid the mental health care they require.  Our staff takes the time to educate you about your child’s options for care and treatment.

Throughout the referral and admissions processes, we function as a single point of contact, collecting all required paperwork, confirming insurance benefits, and helping with scheduling.

Throughout your child’s treatment, your Resource Coordinator will stay in touch with you, providing you with updates on their progress and post-discharge support.

Our CBS staff helps kids who are dealing with issues like:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety disorders
  • Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • Eating disorders
  • Severe emotional disturbance
  • Sexually maladaptive behaviors
  • Sexually abusive behaviors
  • Low cognitive functioning
  • Extreme aggression
  • Self-injurious behaviors

Our CBS team’s goal is to match each kid with the care level that best suits their requirements. This could consist of:

Acute hospital: A youngster receives round-the-clock nursing care during their inpatient stay in order to stabilize and improve their functionality.
Psychiatric residential treatment facility (PRTF): Children can get inpatient care in a nonhospital setting in a PRTF.
Residential treatment center: This is a longer-term course of therapy that offers 24-hour care in a secure, encouraging setting.
Qualified residential treatment program (QRTP): Programs that meet tight criteria to offer group care in the least restrictive family-like environment.

Therapeutic group home (TGH): Children get care, services, and support in a setting that is similar to home in a TGH.
A partial hospitalization program (PHP): Sometimes referred to as day treatment, is an outpatient level of care that involves treatment for a few hours each day, many days a week.

In close collaboration with your family, the CBS team will match your kid with a treatment plan tailored to their unique needs, strengths, and problems.

Evidence-based treatment methods like eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), play therapy, trauma-informed care, and the Nurtured Heart Approach are used in our programs to provide age-appropriate care.

While they are receiving care, we also offer each child the proper educational services. To make sure your child stays on track during therapy, our team will work with the school and education department.
